If I am not able to run the race once I register, may I request a refund of my entry fee?
Entry fees are non-refundable and entries are non-transferable. The CAF will grant a refund of a deposit only in the case of a medical situation documented by a medical professional. Entries can be carried over to 2008 in select cases, at CAF’s discretion.

Is the San Diego Triathlon Challenge a Hawaii Ironman qualifier?
No. This event is not USAT sanctioned, nor is it a qualifier for the Hawaii Ironman. The two top fundraisers for SDTC 2007 will be awarded a slot to the Ironman Triathlon World Championship in Kona, Hawaii.

What is the average temperature in San Diego at the beginning of October?
You can count on ideal racing weather in late October. Expect the starting line temperature to hover around 50 degrees (water temperature about 60 degress), with temperatures in the low to mid-60s three hours into the race. Temperatures should peak in the mid-60s by the afternoon.

How do I know that I'm registered?
All entries received will be confirmed by mail. Final information packets will be sent out approximately one month prior to the event. You can also confirm your registration by emailing Barbi Ramage.

Is the triathlon challenged athlete friendly?
Of course! We encourage challenged athlete participation! It should be noted that handcycle and wheelchair athletes use a different run course than able-bodies athletes, due to safety concerns. In this respect, CAF also reserves the right to require a certain level of athletic experience before allowing a challenged athlete to participate in the event.

Is there a Relay Division?
You can register an entire relay team for the San Diego Triathlon Challenge.
What will I receive with my entry into San Diego Triathlon Challenge?
All participants will receive the best goodie bags in triathlon, with a San Diego Triathlon Challenge t-shirt, along with athletic shoes, towel, duffle bag, finishers medal and more!
