GU believes that every child deserves the opportunity to explore a healthy, athletic life. For children who have experienced the trauma of losing a limb, exploring an athletic life becomes all the more difficult. GU has teamed up with CAF and Jeff Schmidt to launch the Challenge for Kids. Our efforts will raise funds to help enable young physically challenged athletes.
As a challenged athlete, Jeff Schmidt knows a thing or two about passion in sports. Last year he suffered the heartbreak of not finishing the Ironman World Championship Race by the cut-off time. This year Jeff has pledged to finish the race and raise as much money for CAF along the way as possible. Through our collective effort in the Challenge For Kids, we hope to raise at least $50,000 to help CAF buy prosthetics for children.
