St. Anthony’s Triathlon – Sunday, April 27, 2008 – St. Petersburg
St. Anthony’s Triathlon in St. Petersburg, Florida, is celebrating its 25th anniversary as one of the premier multi-sport events in the world. Some 4,000 individuals and 100 relay teams, participate on a safe and scenic waterfront course. The 2008 event, which consists of a 1.5K swim, a 40K bike and a 10K run, will take place on April 27.
As the first major race on the U.S. calendar, St. Anthony’s Triathlon has kicked off the triathlon season in North America since 1983. This year, St. Anthony’s has welcomed CAF- Florida to partner with them as a designated charity, and has created the first ever Team CAF St. Anthony’s 2008.
Invitations have been sent to all registered competitors, and those who agree to raise a minimum of $500 each for CAF will receive the following benefits during race weekend:
- A priority start time in the first amateur wave (fifth overall) dedicated to CAF – no waiting time to get in the water!;
- Separate and convenient team bike compound for race day;
- A specially designed Team CAF St. Anthony’s 2008 uniform identifying them as part of The Team;
- Customized race bibs identifying them as Team CAF St. Anthony’s 2008 members;
- A private VIP tent near the race finish just for Team CAF St. Anthony’s 2008 members, their friends and families.
You’ll also be joined by well-known CAF athletes, who will share their stories with the team and be available for photos, autographs, etc. Team members will enjoy the camaraderie that comes with seeing each other during the race and working together for a great cause.
