Tour de Cove returns to beautiful La Jolla Cove on Sunday, October 23, 2011. Join the Challenged Athletes Foundation® for a four and a half hour cycling marathon adventure.
There will be over 100 indoor cycling bikes and Krankcycles® on the lawn overlooking the Pacific Ocean at the center of the Aspen Medical Products San Diego Triathlon Challenge.
Participate as an individual or part of a team. Either way you will enjoy the featuring choreographed cycling sessions led by the nation's top instructors, special presentations from CAF and entertainment featured on the jumbo outdoor screen. The energy will amaze and inspire you!
REGISTRATION
Registration is now open! Be sure to register early as Polka Dot Jersey registration is limited to 20 teams. A non-refundable $100 deposit is due at the time of registration for all participants. The balance must be donated or fundraised by October 15, 2011.
REGISTRATION TYPES
Participate in the four and half hour ride as an individual or as part of a two to three person relay style team.
YELLOW JERSEY
Cycle as an individual for four and half hours (9:00am-1:30pm) and fundraise a minimum of $500.
Each Yellow Jersey rider will receive the following benefits:
- Special Perks: including a reserved bike and personal instruction on a Krankcycle®
- Amazing Schwag Bag: including running shoes, a custom Tour de Cove bike jersey, event sweatshirt, event t-shirt, visor, water bottle and more!
POLKA DOT TEAM JERSEY
Recruit a team of two to three riders to share a bike for four and half hours and fundraise a combined minimum of $900 for the team. Each team member will select a 90-minute spin session (9:00am-10:30am, 10:30am-12:00pm or 12:00pm-1:30pm).
Each team member will receive the following benefits:
- Amazing Schwag Bag: including a a custom Tour de Cove bike jersey (new for 2010 team riders!), event sweatshirt, event t-shirt, visor, water bottle and more!
CHAMPION CHALLENGE
Both Yellow Jersey and Polka Dot Team Jersey riders can strive to be a Champion by reaching a fundraising goal of $2,000! You’ll want to be a champion and receive more great rewards and perks (above and beyond the jersey levels) when you hit Champion status that include:
- Premier Seating: a coveted seat in the front two rows along with priority access to a Krankcycle®.
- VIP Treatment: on event day you will be treated to massage, valet parking and special drinks and treats.
- Special Schwag: Embroidered CAF workout towel placed on your reserved bike on event morning. Commemorative Champion Challenge Photo taken on stage with challenged athletes following the spin-a-thon.
