Dan is a fundraising executive with almost three decades of experience in nonprofit health related organizations. He has successfully built and restructured programs to increase capacity and is an accomplished principal and major gift fundraiser, experienced in successful multi-million and billion-dollar campaign planning, execution and evaluation. Dan has expertise developing and coaching staff and serving as counsel to executive and volunteer leadership.
Dan has held a variety of leadership positions throughout his career including positions at Saint John’s Health Center Foundation where he led the successful completion of a $210 million campaign and increased the three-year average gift income by 180%, within Health Sciences Development at the University of California, San Diego where he oversaw principal and major gift fundraising, annual giving, events and donor relations for the two hospital system, School of Medicine and the School of Pharmacy.
He previously held positions for nationally known organizations including Special Olympics, March of Dimes, American Cancer Society and has served as President and as a Senior Consultant for a national consulting firms.
Dan enjoys spending time with his wife Debbie and two daughters and is and avid triathlete.
