About CAF-Idaho Mountain Biking Weekend

Inclusive Mountain Biking Weekend

Led by world-class coaches, riders will select between group rides of varying difficulty or a more formal clinic setting. For days one and two, participants will be assigned to a morning or afternoon session, and they will meet with coaches and ride leaders at the Fort Boise Trailhead. Day three will be a low-pressure race up at Bogus Basin. The race, and the focus of these clinics and rides is cross-country. Like any mountain biking trail, the trails in the Boise foothills have different technical challenges, so whether your interest is in downhill or enduro, you can still expect to improve your skills.

Community, Mentorship, and Beyond

Extend your connections beyond the trails. Our event fosters a supportive atmosphere where experts serve as mentors, guiding beginners through the excitement of trying something new. Connect, collaborate, and learn from one another at the CAF-Idaho Mountain Biking Weekend. Accompanying the clinic will be community events at the Idaho Outdoor Fieldhouse including talks and a video showing.

Safe and Enjoyable Exploration

Mountain biking is an inherently dangerous sport. Our priority is safety and fun. By assigning the most functionally appropriate equipment (for those who borrow gear) and keeping coach/ ride leader to participant ratios low we are minimizing risk so that every participant can explore mountain biking in a secure and enjoyable setting. Whether you’re aiming for the podium or experiencing the thrill for the first time, the CAF-Idaho Mountain Biking Weekend is designed for everyone to feel the joy of sports.
