Luis Morales

MSG Luis Morales, U.S. Army (ret.) lives in Stafford, VA

Luis is a retired Army Special Forces Master Sergeant who lost his leg to enemy fire in Afghanistan.  During the engagement in which he lost his leg, Luis refused medical care for his own wounds to fight off the enemy as they attempted to overrun his unit’s position. For 6 1/2 hours, Luis led the effort to fight off the enemy and ensure that his wounded comrades were treated and brought to safety.  For his selfless act of valor, Luis was awarded the Silver Star. Luis first became involved with CAF in 2015 when he applied for and was awarded a racing bike.  In 2018 Luis participated in his first SDTC.
