Biography:

Roger was born and raised in Southern California and was very active in the outdoors ,and all sports as a child.

After high school Roger joined the US Army as a mechanic and then a medical technician and ultimately his physician assistant’s degree and entered the civilian workforce.
Roger sustained damage to his arm and leg with above knee amputation to the left leg as a result of a industrial and sports injury. In 2009 Roger requested the assistance of CAF Operation Rebound for help with a new biking leg and road bike.

In addition to being a member of Operation rebound, Roger’s current position as a Military Medical Contractor keeps him tied to the Military community, and to support his fellow injured service members.

” I felt like giving up at times But Operation Rebound saved my life with sports and the camaraderie of a community of challenged athletes.”-Roger Carlson
