At Challenged Athletes Foundation, partnerships are about more than visibility. They are about showing up for athletes with physical disabilities in the moments that matter most. In 2025, CAF’s partnership with 100% helped turn access into action across clinics, events, and community gatherings nationwide, ensuring athletes had the gear, support, and confidence to move forward through sport. 

A Partnership Built on Access 

As the Official Eyewear Sponsor of the 2025 San Diego Triathlon Challenge, 100% played a key role in one of CAF’s most impactful events of the year. The weekend brought together 1,139 participants, including 143 athletes with physical disabilities and more than 800 volunteers, raising $3.5 million to support CAF’s mission. Throughout the event weekend, 100% showed up not just as a sponsor, but as an engaged partner invested in athlete experience, safety, and community. 

Showing Up Where Athletes Are 

Beyond SDTC, 100% supported more than 10 CAF sports clinics and fundraising events throughout 2025, providing over 1,500 pairs of sunglasses along with helmets, gloves, and protective gear. From mountain biking and adaptive sailing to surf and cycling events, athletes were equipped with essential safety gear that allowed them to fully participate and feel supported in every environment. 

“Without 100%, we rely on participants remembering their own equipment or purchasing gear that often goes unused,” shared Wilson Dippo, CAF Idaho Senior Programs & Innovations Manager. “The sunglasses are not only non-negotiable safety equipment, but they elevate our events. Athletes feel cherished and supported in a way we couldn’t do without this partnership.” 

Shared Purpose, Shared Values 

The foundation of CAF and 100%’s partnership is a shared belief in movement, purpose, and pushing what is possible. As 100% Founder Ludo Boinnard shared after being introduced to CAF’s mission by longtime supporter Bill Walton, the impact of sport goes far beyond competition. 

“For anybody who has been hurt by unfortunate events, it is easy to feel beaten down and give up,” Ludo said. “But with CAF’s support, you see people feel alive again, pushing themselves, becoming active, reconnecting with community, and finding purpose. When you replace 100% with CAF, it is the same mission and message.” 

This alignment has made the partnership a natural fit, rooted in mutual respect for CAF athletes and the power of sport to restore confidence and connection. 

Impact by the Numbers 

In 2025, the CAF and 100% partnership generated more than 481,000 social impressions, reached millions through media coverage, and delivered direct, tangible support to athletes across California, Idaho, and Northern California programs. From national visibility to hands-on athlete experiences, the impact was felt at every level.
