Join us for the CAF-Idaho Downhill Ski/Snowboard Basecamp, an immersive winter experience for up to eight participants. This multi-day program combines on-snow skill development with hands-on workshops—guided ski and snowboard sessions, equipment care, strength and recovery training, and snow science instruction.

Whether you want to refine your technique, learn to maintain your equipment, or better understand mountain conditions, this basecamp provides a well-rounded, high-energy winter progression in a supportive, small-group setting.

Experience required: Some prior experience on the mountain is required for this basecamp.
Dates: January 15–19, 2026 and February 20–22, 2026
Location: Bogus Basin (on-snow) and Idaho Outdoor Fieldhouse (classes/recovery)
Capacity: Limited to eight participants

About the CAF-Idaho Downhill Ski/Snowboard Basecamp

Led by experienced coaches and instructors, this program offers a structured progression to help participants build skill and confidence on the mountain. Each day blends time on snow with sessions focused on recovery, equipment maintenance, and safety.

We prioritize an inclusive and supportive atmosphere where athletes with physical disabilities can connect, learn from one another, and explore their potential in a safe and fun environment.

What’s Included

  • Bogus Basin ski/snowboard passes
  • Strength and recovery classes at the Idaho Outdoor Fieldhouse
  • Waxing and tuning workshop for skis and snowboards
  • Snow science lessons on weather, safety, and terrain awareness
  • Group and individual on-snow lessons
  • All meals provided

  • Kick-off dinner at the Idaho Outdoor Fieldhouse

January 16

  • Depart the Idaho Outdoor Fieldhouse ~ 9:00 a.m.
  • On Snow 10:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
  • Lunch 12:00 p.m.
  • On Snow 1:30–3:00 p.m.
  • Dinner 5:30 p.m.
  • Learn to Wax / Learn to Tune 7:30 p.m.

January 17

  • A.M. Yoga 9:30 a.m.
  • Lunch 11:00 a.m.
  • Depart Fieldhouse ~ 12:00 p.m.
  • On Snow 1:30–4:30 p.m.
  • Dinner 6:30 p.m.
  • Recovery Hot Tub / Cold Plunge / Sauna 7:30 p.m.

January 18

  • Depart the Idaho Outdoor Fieldhouse ~ 9:00 a.m.
  • On Snow 10:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
  • Lunch 12:00 p.m.
  • On Snow 1:30–3:00 p.m.
  • Dinner 5:30 p.m.

January 19

  • Depart the Idaho Outdoor Fieldhouse ~ 9:00 a.m.
  • On Snow 10:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
  • Lunch 1:00 p.m.
  • Head Home 2:30 p.m.

February 20–22, 2026 Session: Dates confirmed; detailed daily schedule will be added closer to the program.

Athletes with a permanent physical disability who are 16+ (youth opportunities vary by program). Some experience is required. If you have questions about level of experience, please reach out to our team.

Ski’s/snowboards, goggles, and helmets will be provided if needed. Final details are shared with accepted participants. Please bring any personal equipment that you already own.

Travel assistance is available to Idaho residents.

As always, friends and family are welcome to spectate, but this program is for the athletes.
