Para Nordic Skiing is one of the most challenging sports in the world, but also one of the most rewarding. It takes an incredible amount of training and effort to excel in Para Nordic Skiing. Though this program we hope to arm participants with more of the tools to improve as skiers and athletes.
Designed for established Nordic skiers or athletes willing to put in the extra effort and commitment. This camp should be a fun, challenging, and educational experience for any who participate.

The program will begin in October with strength sessions at the Idaho Outdoor Fieldhouse (or a strength plan that can be completed outside the facility)
The December session will focus on building effective training plans, nutrition, ski care, equipment care, and a handful of strength/ recovery sessions. If the weather cooperates and Bogus Basin opens early, we will see that as a bonus and get some time on snow.
The January session will be on-snow focused with a heavy emphasis on video/ technique review.
February is our annual trip to the Boulder Mountain Tour.
During the Boise portion of the program, participants are encouraged to stay at the Idaho Outdoor Fieldhouse. While not required, evenings around the firepit often become a highlight of the week, offering a chance to relax, share stories, and build friendships.
Lodging is also provided in Sun Valley for the Boulder Mountain Tour Trip.

Athletes from Idaho with a permanent physical disability who are 16+ who have some experience Nordic skiing.
We have some Nordic skiing equipment. Athletes should aim to have their own equipment for this event, but we will supplement anything that they don’t have.
Participation is free for all registered athletes. This includes coaching, ski passes, and meals during the camp.
We will purchase a pass for a single guest or caretaker during each of the ski sessions, but cannot provide coaching to non-participants.
Yes. The caveat is that there are limited options for assistance in Nordic skiing. We will provide the best experience that we possibly can, but nothing will change the fac that Nordic skiing is a very physically challenging sport.
Some travel assistance funding is available. Idaho residents can travel costs reimbursed for this event. This includs flight for one athlete and one caretaker for those living in North Idaho or fuel reimbursement for folks driving more than 1 hour to the Fieldhouse. We do not have funding for out of state travel for this event.
