JOIN US at the caf-IDAHO MOUNTAIN BIKING Basecamp PROGRAM
This 6-week program is intended for beginners, ages 16+, to develop their skills and confidence to take on the trails. This program will cover everything from basic maintenance to skills and techniques to tackle technical trails for 8 adaptive riders, ensuring a personalized experience. Athletes are expected to commit to participating for the entirety of the 6-week program. Application Process:

Inclusive Mountain Biking Basecamp Program

Led by experienced coaches, each session provides opportunities to be immersed in the mountain biking community. Break down barriers with us and create an inclusive environment for athletes with physical disabilities of all levels. Whether you’re a seasoned expert or a first-time participant, the CAF-Idaho Mountain Biking Basecamp Program will create unforgettable moments on and off the trails.

WEEK 5: Thursday, June 13th 5:30pm-7:30pm

  • Group ride

DESTINATION IMMERSION: Friday June 21 – Sunday June 23

LOCATION: Sun Valley, ID

Our Destination Immersions offer an exhilarating weekend getaway to the heart of Idaho, carefully curated for enthusiasts of the basecamp sport. These immersive experiences gather a tight-knit cohort of 8 individuals, fostering a sense of community through shared adventures and unforgettable moments. Led by two experienced coaches, each trip combines thrilling outdoor activities with opportunities for personal growth and connection, making it the perfect blend of adventure and camaraderie in the stunning landscapes of Idaho. ex: we’re trying to work with local guiding companies to go fly fishing on the Middle Fork of the Salmon River to wrap up the fly fishing basecamp. A lot of these experiences aren’t booked yet so I don’t have more information at this time.

The immersion includes facilitated travel and two overnight periods for all participants.

  • Adaptive athletes 16+ of all abilities.

Do participants need prior experience in the specific sports offered?

  • No prior experience is required.

How can I apply for the program?

  • Application details can be found on our Apply tab at the top of this page. Follow the application instructions to secure your spot for the CAF-Idaho Mountain Biking Program.

What equipment will be provided, and what should participants bring?

  • CAF will provide bikes, helmets, and any additional adaptations needed. Please bring any personal equipment that you already own.

Is there a cost to participate?

  • There is no cost to participate.

Is travel assistance available?

  • Travel assistance is not available, but we can accommodate Idaho residents outside of the Treasure Valley if interested. 

Can family and friends attend the program?

  • As always, friends and family are welcome to spectate, but this program is for athletes.

Can I volunteer for the CAF-Idaho Mountain Biking Program?

  • People are invited to volunteer as support riders for our group rides on 6/6 & 6/13.

Are there accommodations for participants of all physical disabilities?

  • Yes. Anyone concerned there will not be an option for them should please reach out to Bailee at [email protected]
