Challenged Athletes Foundation’s High School Adaptive Sports Program aims to increase awareness of school parasport competition, provide coaching and instructional resources, and create training and grant opportunities for students with physical disabilities in both middle school and high school.
The High School Adaptive Sports Program is currently focused on the sport of adaptive track & field, but as more high schools embrace parasport, our goal is to develop additional resources to support other sports for student-athletes. CAF ultimately aims to provide a more inclusive school environment for aspiring adaptive athletes!
The CAF Adaptive Track & Field Program is designed to support both middle school and high school student-athletes with in-person and virtual coaching, resources, and grant opportunities so athletes can build the skills and confidence needed to join and excel on their school track & field teams. See below for more information.
The safety and well-being of our community is top of mind for all of us. Due to unforeseen circumstances hindering access to facilities and with consideration to the rise in COVID cases around the country, we will be postponing our in-person High School Adaptive Sports Track and Field Program to Summer 2022.
We apologize for any inconvenience, and hope you can understand our wanting to put health and safety before all else. We will be moving forward with an engaging virtual program that you can sign up for here which includes six weeks of training videos, practice plans, webinars, weekly challenges, and more to help you prepare for your upcoming Track and Field season.
More information on our in-person California Summer program and Spring clinics will be available in the coming weeks and will be shared on this page. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns, and we thank you for your understanding.
Not located in California? No worries – the CAF Virtual Adaptive Track & Field Program is a perfect option for you! This self-directed track & field program allows you access six-weeks’ of practice plans, video tutorials, and resources anytime, anywhere.
To support the program and adaptive track and field athletes worldwide, we have created 13 Adaptive Track & Field training videos so students, athletes, coaches, and parents can learn the sport of adaptive track and field.
