VIRGINIA TINLEY: EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Virginia was the first employee hired by CAF in 1998 to provide infrastructure and leadership to an organization that was rapidly growing. She has overseen the growth of corporate relationships; grant writing, staff development and strategic planning. She also has been the driving force behind elevating the crown jewel of CAF, the San Diego Triathlon Challenge to a first class event.

ROY PERKINS: SENIOR DIRECTOR, PROGRAMS AND STRATEGIC PLANNING
Roy Perkins' first exposure to CAF came in 1998, when he raced on a relay team with his son Roy Perkins, Jr., (a quadruple amputee) at the San Diego Triathlon Challenge. Roy has over 20 years of experience in communications and public affairs, including four years as CAF's Director of Development. Roy is a passionate CAF supporter and fundraiser, as well as a staunch believer in the organization’s mission. CAF is excited to welcome Roy back to the team as Senior Director, Programs and Strategic Planning!

KRISTINE ENTWISTLE: SENIOR DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT & SPECIAL EVENTS
Kristine began working with CAF in January 2006 to produce the Qualcomm Million Dollar Challenge, a seven-day ride from San Francisco to San Diego. She joined the CAF team full time in January 2009 to oversee the growing event department. Kristine brings years of experience in non-profit event management and hospitality as well as a love of cycling and running.

JILL PRICHARD: DIRECTOR OF PROGRAMS
Jill joined CAF in the summer of 2005 with over 20 years of programming and event experience. She has been a volunteer and supporter of CAF for over 8 years and brings her commitment to hard work, and passion for having fun to every event. Jill heads up all of CAF's programs in addition to generating athlete communications, grant writing and program sponsor relations.

NANCY REYNOLDS: DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Nancy joined CAF in the spring of 2009. Her education and background is in finance and business development and she previously was an entrepreneur with her own business where she worked with many of the finest retailers and companies in the nation. She has an enormous passion to help others and is an avid runner, cyclist and part-time swimmer.

VIKKI INDERMUEHLE: SPECIAL EVENTS MANAGER
Vikki began working at CAF in the spring of 2009. She brings over 10 years of non-profit experience and an incredible attitude. Vikki has love for logistics and high energy events, making her a valuable addition to the events department. She has also fully embraced the cycling world as the manager of CAF's Million Dollar Challenge event.

NICO MARCOLONGO: OPERATION REBOUND PROGRAM MANAGER
Nico joined CAF in the spring of 2008 after 14 years of service as a United States Marine Corps Officer. He is a veteran of the Iraq conflict and brings with him over 8 years of fundraising and event experience to benefit challenged military athletes. Nico is dedicated to supporting the rehabilitative needs of our troops and will lead CAF's effort to mentor and provide post-rehabilitation support to American service members who have suffered permanent physical injuries in recent conflicts.

JENNIFER MCCASSALIN: DIRECTOR OF FINANCE
Jennifer started working with CAF in 2006, running the financials for the Qualcomm Million Dollar Challenge. In the spring of 2009, she came on board as the Finance Manager (job-share). Jennifer has an MBA with a concentration in Finance, and brings over 10 years of experience in the financial world. This combined with her attention to detail and high energy make Jennifer a great addition to the team.

JENNIFER ROSE: DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Jennifer joined CAF in the spring of 2005 bringing with her several years of non-profit experience in the athletic industry. She is a valuable addition in assisting with special events, program coordination, and communication. Her go-getter attitude and smile are contagious to the whole team.

JULIEANNE WHITE: ACCESS FOR ATHLETES PROGRAM MANAGER
JulieAnne joined the CAF team in the spring of 2006. Her experiences as an elite Ironman triathlete and runner and her dedicated efforts on behalf of causes -- from rescuing greyhounds to serving as a Board Trustee for the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation -- provide her with an excellent background for encouraging others to achieve their goals in sports.

TRAVIS RICKS: PROGRAMS COORDINATOR
An above-knee amputee challenged athlete, Travis started with CAF as a volunteer and mentor in 2004. Now Travis coordinates the Catch a Rising Star workshops, grant evaluations, athlete relations and community outreach. He likes to stay active through participation in snowboarding and triathlon events.

TORRIE TINLEY: DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR
Torrie has been involved in CAF and the world of competitive sports since childhood. Starting as a volunteer during college and later working as an intern, she quickly joined the team full-time in Summer 2009. Torrie received her degree in Communication Studies and Spanish with honors and is also an avid runner and cyclist. As Development Coordinator, she oversees the Race for a Reason fundraising program where she manages several events and assists fundraisers and donors. Her outgoing personality and great work ethic, coupled with her lifelong love for athletics and passion for the cause makes her an integral part of the CAF Team.

ANNE FLEMING: OFFICE MANAGER
Anne's first involvement with CAF was in 2005 as an athlete and volunteer at SDTC. She joined the staff in the summer of 2008. Anne brings over 12 years of experience working in management, volunteer and expo coordinating. Anne has a love of endurance sports including running and triathlon and is currently working her way up the ultrarunning ladder, having recently completed her second 50 mile ultrarunning race. Her enthusiasm, strong work ethic and passion for helping others make her a great addition to the CAF team!

NICOLE SLOANE: SPECIAL EVENTS MANAGER
Nicole joined CAF in the summer of 2011. She brings with her over 7 years of experience working for nonprofits on special events, volunteer and vendor management and development. Nicole has a love for sports, great enthusiasm and organization skills. She just relocated from Orange County and is a great addition to the team.

Jenna was first involved with CAF as a fundraiser in 2002. She joined the CAF team in July of 2011 and brings with her over 7 years of Marketing experience. Jenna grew up surrounded by the business of endurance sports and her passions include marathons and triathlons. If you don’t see her at the finish line cheering on our challenged athletes she’s most likely in the race competing with them. Her energy and focus are a wonderful addition to the CAF team.

Elise joined CAF in May 2011, bringing with her 3 years of non-profit public relations and marketing experience, and a background in print, online and broadcast media. Elise earned her degree in English Writing and Journalism with honors from Loyola Marymount University. Her passion for non-profit work coupled with her love for athletics of all kinds keeps her eager to further CAF's mission.

NICK ROUMONADA: BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR
Following a music career-ending injury in 2009, Nick returned to The New School University in New York City where he studied Marketing & Non-Profit Management and was a welcomed addition to the CAF team in the summer of 2011. Nick's motto is "We take what we are given and run with it." As a Challenged Athlete, triathlete and distance runner himself, Nick aims to make sure that no one with a physical challenge is ever limited by the equipment needs they have in order to take their next big step in life.

PAUL SAPIANO: DATA ANALYST
Paul joined the CAF team in September of 2011 bringing with him twelve years of non-profit experience. Originally from England, Paul moved to San Diego in 1999 and began pursuing various roles in non-profit development, theater arts and data analysis. Paul earned a degree in media studies in England where he was also an avid Rugby player and fan. Paul, with his expertise and humor, is a welcomed addition to CAF. He is also CAF’s in-house photographer.

SAMUEL NEHEMIAH: COMMUNITY OUTREACH & CAF SPOKESPERSON
Born and raised in Nigeria, Africa, Samuel grew up in an orphanage for people with physical disabilities after contracting Polio at four years old. At 16 years old, Samuel transformed his life of neglect, abuse and hunger into one of ambition and change. Samuel found the world of wheelchair sports, started traveling to represent his country and was nominated the best athlete of the year in 1994 in the world stoke Mandeville games in England. Samuel moved to the U.S. in 2000, was granted a racing and basketball wheelchair by CAF, and began a public speaking company called "champsheart" to encourage people with disabilities to never give up. Samuel joined the CAF staff in July 2011 and plans to help physically disabled individuals in any way he can.

BARBARA EVANS: NORTHEAST REGIONAL DIRECTOR
Barbara joined CAF in May 2010 with more than 15 years' experience in non-profit development, special events and marketing. Barbara oversees CAF's Northeast Regional Chapter, working on new business development, fundraising, grant writing, local athlete and volunteer relations, and events. Barbara loves cooking, reading and triathlon, and is inspired every day by CAF and its mission.
